Catching up this weekend on the creations of New York’s Spring Bridal shows (happening as we speak) we’re indulging in a bit of armchair escapism, far away from our chilly drop in southern hemisphere) temperatures, to a warmer city bursting into Spring!
It’s one of our favourite times of the year, as we come up for air after a busy Summer season here and catch a glimpse into the kinds of styles we might spot on our brides for the season ahead! There’s plenty of the lace and floral designs we love (and expect from Spring), but a contemporary trend to catch our eye feels particularly fresh and perfect for our minimalist brides.
Super sleek but still a little bit sculpted, these dresses (from multiple designers) speak to the girl who doesn’t necessarily want a lot of detail, or embellishment. Cutting dramatically beautiful shapes the silhouettes are a photographers dream (always a consideration top of our mind!) and feel feminine – without any of the frou frou.
For those in search of this chic and contemporary spirit (but still want timeless) we’ve rounded up our personal pick of favourites. Think clean, uncomplicated lines and soft shapes, oversized bows and silky silhouettes. We’ve also revisited some of our favourite Erin & Tara real brides who’ve beautifully rocked this style before – modern minimalists, ahead of their time.
